Congratulations to the Heppner Mustang Football Team on their advancement to the Oregon State 2A Football Championship game!  The Mustangs will play Burns on November 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Kennison Stadium in Hermiston! GO MUSTANGS!

OSAA State Championship Game Schedule at Hermiston High School Kennison Stadium:
2A – 11:00 am - Heppner vs. Burns
3A - 2:30 pm - Harrisburg vs. Vale
1A – 6:00 pm - Sherman vs. Adrian

Ticket prices are adults $10 and students $5. Students are age 5 through high school senior.  The tickets are good for all three games at Kennison Stadium.

The Heppner High School football team invites parents, family, fans and friends to stop by on Thanksgiving Day during their football practice from 9:00 - 10:30 am at the fairgrounds field.  The Booster Club will be serving hot chocolate and coffee.  The team and coaching staff would like to personally thank everyone for the support they receive!

Flu Shots Offered at HHS today

The Morrow County Health Department will be offering flu shots at HHS today from 10:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. There are consent forms available at the office for students under fifteen years of age. 

FFA Coat Drive

FFA members are collecting coats for needy families from November 17 through December 19.  The coats will be given to the Heppner Neighborhood Center.  If you know someone in need of a coat please contact the Neighborhood Center.

Junior High Boys Basketball

Junior High Boys’ Basketball players will have late practice today.

Student Photo Retakes – December 3

Student photo retakes will be on December 3 after lunch.  You must return your picture packet for credit if you have already paid. New photo packets are available on the office counter.

BMCC Poster Contest

Create the winning BMCC poster and win $250 cash!  The poster should contain creative art and text designed to answer why you should consider attending BMCC when you graduate.  The contest is open to Morrow County students enrolled in grades 9-12. The poster should not exceed 11 x 17 inches and are due before 5:00 p.m. on December 19, 2014. Details are posted on the student bulletin board.

Holiday Greens Workshop Orders

Heppner Agriculture students and FFA members will creating wreaths, swags, crosses, candy canes and centerpieces for purchase during the week of December 8-11.  The Greens Workshop previously done by the Heppner Garden Club will be back in existence due to the generosity of the donation of tools and equipment of the HGC.  You may preorder your choice by contacting Heppner FFA at 541 676-9138 or email your order to Beth Dickenson at dickene@morrow.k12.or.us.

Winter Track Club

Any 9-12th grade students interested in participating in Winter Track Club, beginning after Thanksgiving, on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school please contact Mrs. Winters. This is open to all 9-12 students.

Oregon State Softball Winter Clinic

Jostens Representative Dates

A representative from Josten’s will be at HHS on December 1 to meet with sophomores at 10:00 and seniors at 10:30 regarding class ring and graduation orders.  He will return on December 9 to take orders from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Junior High Club Wrestling

There will be Junior High Club Wrestling for students interested in learning wrestling fundamentals and competing in wrestling tournaments throughout Eastern Oregon. If you have questions, contact the Damon Brosnan at 541-980-8062.  

Yearbooks Available

The 2013/14 Yearbooks are available from Mr. Rosenbalm. There are still 2013/14 yearbooks available for $40 each.

Student Council Meeting November 25

There will be a Student Council meeting tomorrow at 11:45 in Mrs. Payne’s room.

FBLA

FBLA pies will be delivered today and tomorrow.  All FBLA members need to check in Mrs. Gentry’s room after school or practice to check in and help deliver pies.

Junior High Girls Basketball

Junior High Girls Basketball will have practice today at 4:15.  This is a change from the originally scheduled time due to the boys’ game in Pilot Rock today.
