The HJSHS Night of Excellence to honor outstanding scholars and athletes will be held tonight beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the HES Gymnasium.  Awards recipients were sent notification letters. The HJSHS Booster Club will be providing refreshments. Family and friends are encouraged to attend. Students please dress in game day attire.

The HJSHS Daytime Awards Assembly will be May 24, beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the HJSHS Gymnasium.  Awards recipients were sent notification letters.

The Heppner FFA Banquet will be held tomorrow evening, May 24, at the Morrow County Fairgrounds Building.  The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., program will start at 6:00 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The whole community is invited and encouraged to attend!  All FFA members speaking at the banquet need to attend dress rehearsal today at 3:38 p.m. in the Ag Room.

The Heppner “Friends of the FFA” are looking for members to support our local chapter and advisor, Mrs. Dickenson.  Members of this group support the local FFA scholarship and help on projects as directed by Mrs. Dickenson.  Membership forms are available at the HHS office or from Mrs. Dickenson.  Membership dues are $30 per person.

The 8th Grade Celebration will be on May 25 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. in the HJSHS Cafeteria.

Students in 9th grade Success 101 need to have job shadow and community service requirements complete by June 1st.  Please make sure you are making progress on those!

The HHS Yearbook is looking for current year track photos.  Please give or send them to Mr. Rosenbalm or Alex Lindsay.

Senior Information

Senior yearbook photos and parent quotes are due to Mr. Rosenbalm. Senior parents have the option of adding a parent quote by the senior photo in the yearbook.  The cost of the quotes is $10.  Parents may also send the photos and quotes to the office to be forwarded to Mr. Rosenbalm.

There are extra graduation announcements from Jostens available in the office for $1.10 each.

 Drivers Ed - Hermiston High School

Summer Conservation Crew & Crew Leader Applications Available

CAPECO is hiring youth ages 16-21 to staff their summer conservation crew in the Umatilla National Forest.  There is also a position open for a crew leader.  Crew members will work full time Monday through Friday under the supervision of a crew leader on a variety of natural resources projects.  Applications are available in the holder outside the office.

ODOT Youth Litter Patrol has opening for crew leaders and members.  Instructions on how to apply online is available in the holder outside the office.  Oregon ODOT at  https://www.neogov.com

Wildland Fire Suppression ODF John Day Unit will be hiring for wildland fire suppression from June - October. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.  Information is available in the holder by the office.

Hermiston Foods LLC is offering a variety of career opportunities for permanent and seasonal employment.  Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.  Applications are available in the holder outside the office.

Meals of Hope fund raiser Dodgeball Tournament tonight at 6:00 p.m.in the HJSHS Gym.  Teams are $40 and all proceeds go to feeding the hungry in our communities through Meals of Hope!  Winning team members receive a Heppner FFA dodgeball t-shirt!  Signup sheets are available from Emily & Kane. Registration will start at 6:00 & the games will begin at 6:30 promptly!  Please come out and support this worthy cause!
