The 9-12 HHS Prom “A Golden Moment” will be held this Saturday, May 7, at the St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, from 9:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.  Ticket prices are $10 per person.  Tickets purchased in advance will come with a free gift.  Tickets may be purchased from Mrs. Payne before or after school and during class change.  Tickets will be available at the door.

No Lunch Charging after May 5

There will be no lunch charging or negative balances allowed on lunch/breakfast accounts after May 5.  You must have money in your account for an entrée choice.

If you do not have money on your account a cheese sandwich with fruits, veggies, and milk will be provided. If your student has a negative or low balance the phone system will continue to call families on Sunday and Wednesday evenings.  To check balances you may contact the kitchen staff between 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. Monday – Thursday.

Senior Information

Senior portfolio presentations will be held on Monday, May 23, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Yearbook senior photos are due to Mr. Rosenbalm by May 12.  Senior parents may purchase a parent quote for $10 to accompany the senior photo in the yearbook.

The Heppner Lady Elks annual Mother Daughter Tea will be on May 11, at 11:30 a.m. at the Heppner Elks Lodge.

Drama Production

The drama production of “Where There’s a Will, There’s a Murder” is scheduled for May 9, 11, 16 & 17 at 7:00 p.m.  The admission is $2. There will be two presentations during school on Wednesday, May 11: 1:00 p.m. for 7th – 9th grades and 2:15 p.m. for 10th -12th grades.

Employment Opportunities

Morrow County Road Department is hiring at least four flaggers for the paving season.  This could be an opportunity for graduating seniors who are looking for summer work and a decent wage.  The certification is valid for three years so the job could work into the next year employment.  For more information contact Sandra Putman at 541-989-9500

OYCC Summer Conservation Crew

CAPECO is hiring youth ages 16-24 to staff the OYCC crew in the Umatilla National Forest.  Crew members work full time Monday – Friday under the supervision of a crew leader on a variety of natural resources projects.  Crew members receive training in First Aid, CPR, tool safety, trees, flora and fauna. No prior work experience is necessary – this is an ideal first job.  Applications are due by May 20.

Hermiston Foods LLC is offering career opportunities and summer employment in the areas of management, data processing, accounting, quality assurance, technical skills and internships.  Applications are available in the holder outside the office. Also, the Oregon Employment Department will be accepting applications through May 27 for the 2016 processing season for many different jobs.

Agrilabor Inc. is offering individual or group two-four week July seasonal employment detasseling corn in the Hermiston area. Minimum age is 14 - $12 -$12.69 per hour. Call 541 667-9580 for more information.

Golf Sport Photos Today

Golf sport photos will be today from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.  Picture forms are available in the holder by the office or from Mr. Grant.
