Congratulations to the Heppner FFA Soils judgers! Both the Advanced and Beginning Teams won 1st place at the district contest! Congratulations to the all of the participants in the General Knowledge Contest, the Chapter placed 3rd! Great job all Rituals Team members! The alternate team placed 3rd.
All FFA members & guests are invited to dinner and meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 pm, so come meet the state officers and have dinner! There will be games & fun as well as a few pieces of business to discuss. Hope to see you there! Doors close at 7:50!
The Heppner FFA Chapter is selling boxes of fruit from Davis Orchards in Milton Freewater. There are six varieties of apples at $16 for 20 lbs. and two varieties of pears at $28 for 28 lbs. Order forms are available at the HHS office or contact an FFA member to order. Orders are due by October 8 for delivery on October 14.
Heppner Booster Club Steak Feed & Auction – October 10
The Heppner Junior/Senior High School Booster Club Steak Feed & Auction will be held on October 10 at the Heppner Elk’s Club.
6:00 p.m. Steak Dinner $15 - 7:00 p.m. Silent and Live Auctions
The Booster Club is an organization of interested parents and individuals who voluntarily assist in the furtherance of the athletic and academic programs at Heppner Junior/Senior High School.
Students please remember the time of your shift at the Booster Club Auction. If you can’t make it please let Mrs. Payne know soon! Alternates need to attend the Auction. All students should report to their supervisor on the list.
Dress code Booster Club Auction is: Auction runners and greeters should wear game day attire, servers and bussers should wear black or khaki pants with a white shirt. All other workers should wear nice jeans with a Heppner Mustang shirt. If you have questions please see Mrs. Payne.
The Homecoming Points Have Been Tallied!
Third place was the freshmen with 550 points!
Second place was the juniors with 575 points!
First place goes to the seniors with 850 points!
Seniors will get their longer lunch on Thursday, October 8th. They will be excused from 15 minutes of 5th period, so they need to be back to 5th period by 12:20. Juniors will get their candy prize during tutorial next Tuesday.

Volleyball Sport Photos – October 13
9-12 Volleyball sport photos have been rescheduled to October 13 at 4:00 p.m. Photo packet sheets are available in the holder outside the office.
There will be a Jostens representative in the HHS Library on November 30, to meet with sophomores at 10:00 a.m. regarding class rings and Seniors at 10:30 a.m. regarding graduation packages. He will return on December 8, during lunch to take orders.
HJSJS Booster Club Meeting & Officer Election - October 21
The HJSHS Booster Club will be holding officer elections on Wednesday, October 21st at 6:00pm in the library, during their monthly meeting. All offices EXCEPT treasurer are up for re-election. The Booster Club has eliminated all membership dues and would like to encourage parents and supporters to attend meetings and become involved. The Booster Club meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm in the library.
